Lecture to Self

   "Lecture to Self"

Someone recently told me that I see things with rose colored glasses.  I would prefer to think that I try to see things from Jesus' prospective.  That prospective understands that our journey on this earth is only for a short time and we have an eternity to live in our heavenly home.  The time we have here should be spent serving others and bringing salt and light to their lives.

But what if life throws you curve balls and every time you try to hit a home run you strike out.  You then become discouraged and only look at the negative.  I have been given many curve balls these past few years and add to that with the natural process of ageing I have found myself growing weary.  However scripture tells us Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9  The key word here is if - if we do not give up.  Therefore when I am struggling I act as if things are good. Acts 20:24 says However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me--the task of testifying to the good news of God's grace.

So I have a choice I can whine and complain or I can take up my cross .  I can worry and fret or I can trust God.  Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

I have no power within me to move a mountain but scripture says,  Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20
