After enjoying a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner and reflecting on all of the things that I am thankful for, I realized that I have spent more time and energy worrying about things that I have no control over then I have in prayer. There is nothing that I can do about the condition of our country beyond voting and praying for God's perfect will. Therefore from this day forward my blog will be dedicate to bringing Glory to God. For he is my Joy and Song

Wow!
Wow it is January 22, 2013 and I haven't posted anything since Thanksgiving. I guess having 3 new Grand babies keeps me busy. My oldest grandson has gone off to college and my youngest grandchild is 6 months old. Now that is quite a span. I still raise quail and Silver Fox rabbits. I have found that urban homesteading is a lot of work but very rewarding. We canned 40 quarts of tomatoes and froze green beans and squash. Here it is time to start my indoor seedlings and I still have food in the freezer. I guess I better give some away to make room for 2013's crop.

Happy Thanksgiving
As a child I read the Diary of Anne Frank. It made such an impact on me that whenever problems occurred in my life I would consider her attitude during the holocaust and try and adjust mine. After all, our time here on earth is just part of our journey. So during this holiday season let us think on all the blessings that we have and reach out to others.
