Happy Thanksgiving

As a child I read the Diary of Anne Frank.  It made such an impact on me that whenever problems occurred in my life I would consider her attitude during the holocaust and try and adjust mine.  After all, our time here on earth is just part of our journey.  So during this holiday season let us think on all the blessings that we have and reach out to others.

The Garden

I will be very busy this summer picking and canning vegetables. I have green beans, peas, squash, tomatoes, corn, beets, onions etc., etc. They are all heirloom vegetables that I grew from seeds and will be able to save seeds from and plant next year.

Hypothyroidism

I have recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism which explains why I have been feeling so tired and gaining weight. Hopefully I will be feeling better soon. My stomach is having a hard time adjust to the medication but that will probably help me lose weight. LOL

Yes! Spring is here!

This is my favorite time of year. We started planting our vegetable garden. We decide to have a Geriatric Garden. Instead of buying expensive tomato cages we used walkers for the tomatoes and crutches for the pole beans.
